The Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC) is offering a Project Administrator (Construction) position as a developmental opportunity for a motivated Tłı̨chǫ Citizen, supporting construction projects delivered through Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB).
This 2-year fixed-term position is designed to provide hands-on experience in construction project coordination and administration. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and construction teams on active projects throughout Tłı̨chǫ communities and worksites.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in the construction industry.
Position:
Project Administrator (Construction)
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Administrator will support construction projects by assisting with project administration, scheduling, documentation, and coordination of day-to-day activities. This role provides exposure to the full lifecycle of construction projects while developing essential project coordination and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Administration
- Assist the Senior Project Manager with organizing and maintaining project files, documentation, and records
- Track project activities, timelines, and deliverables to support on-time completion
- Take meeting notes and assist with preparing reports and project updates
Construction Support
- Support coordination between site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and office staff
- Assist with tracking materials, equipment, and work progress
- Help ensure project documentation aligns with company and client requirements
Logistics & Communication
- Assist with organizing meetings, travel arrangements, accommodations, and site logistics
- Support communication between departments to ensure smooth project operations
- Perform general administrative tasks related to construction projects
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Grade 12
- At least one year of work experience (construction, trades, or administrative experience is an asset)
- Strong interest in construction, infrastructure, or project coordination
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project Professional
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
