The Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation owns and operates three general stores in the Tłı̨chǫ Region of the Northwest Territories, in the communities of Gamètì, Wekweetì and Whatì.
Through our partnership with Loblaws Inc., our stores offer a wide variety of food products, including fresh produce, frozen meats, dairy products, groceries and beverages. We also carry general merchandise such as household cleaning products, baby necessities (diapers, wipes, etc.), toiletries, and a small selection of Joe Fresh clothing items.
As 2020 has brought with it some significant operational challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our retail operations teams have, and continue to be able to adapt successfully, safely and smoothly as we all continue to navigate these new waters. We have implemented enhanced sanitization requirements/standards, reduced the volume of customers allowed in the stores at any given time, and installed plexiglass protective barriers in our check-out areas; to protect both our staff and our customers.
