Tłı̨chǫ Firefighting Services (TFS), a 100% Indigenous-owned company by Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation, is accepting applications for seasonal firefighters in the four Tłı̨chǫ communities: Behchokǫ̀, Whatì, Gamètì, and Wekweètì.
As a Type 1 Firefighter/Alternate Firefighter, you will report to the Crew Lead and play a crucial role in combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires to save lives and property.
Responsibilities:
- Combat, extinguish, and prevent fires
- Handle and operate various rescue equipment
- Wear special protective clothing
Requirements:
- Pass a physically demanding fitness test
- Lift and carry up to 50lbs across rough terrain
- Knowledge of fire suppression equipment
- Confirmed criminal record history
- Travel outside of your based community and/or outside of the territories may be required
