The retail stores which we operate in Whatì, Gamètì and Wekweetì are essential services within the communities. As we Continue to maintain having the inventory and services needed for the communities, it is extremely important that we keep these establishments, and the people who work in them as safe as possible.
Keeping the staff safe by washing your hands and using sanitizer prior to coming to the store, keeping the number of customers in the store very low, and not gathering outside in groups are all preventative measures.
The store managers and staff are extremely important to our business and they need to be protected, as well all do through social distancing, washing hands thoroughly, and not gathering in groups.
The Community Operations Team led by Jim Golchert are doing their best to keep stores stocked and providing as best service they can while keeping counters and doorknobs clean and sanitized.
Providing community services in the retail stores is only one of the many businesses that we manage through the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation. To me, it is one of the most important. it is vital that we continue to operate the retail operations within the communities, I like to think of the stores as one of the key parts of the community. In this Year of 2020, we are working on many improvements to help take the retail operations to the next level.
