My Backyard Tours

My Backyard Tours

Situated on the Northern shore of Great Slave Lake, Yellowknife is the capital of the Northwest Territories, Canada and home to just over 21,000 people. The city is located in the traditional territory of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation who founded the nearby community of Dettah in the early 1930s.

The City is the seat of government for the Northwest Territories, which boasts 11 official languages, and attracts a cosmopolitan mix of people, from across the Northwest Territories and around the world.

With its modern amenities and small town feel, Yellowknife has a number of interesting attractions, including the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre, numerous walking trails, and the northern lights (aurora borealis), which are best seen between late August and mid-April.

The acquisition of My Backyard Tours follows Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation’s March 2023 initiative in the development of high-quality tourism products, services, and experiences through the acquisition of 6224 NWT Ltd. (O/A Lac La Martre Adventures), under Tłı̨chǫ Adventures Ltd.
