(TCC) a Tł̨ıchǫ Investment Corporation-owned company, is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 51% ownership interest in ARCAN Group Inc., a strategic investment made possible through $1,600,000 in funding support from the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor).

Tłı̨chǫ Retail Operations (TRO) is 100% Indigenous Owned by the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (TIC) and has 100% ownership of three retail stores and motels, and operates a petroleum, oil, lubricant division (community fuel delivery/gas station) in each of the beautiful Tłı̨chǫ communities of Whatì, Gamètì and Wekweetì, NT.

Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation (“TIC”) operated a transportation business through Ventures West Transport Limited Partnership by its general partner 1456998 Alberta Ltd. and its limited partner 1456982 Alberta Ltd. and Tłı̨chǫ Landtran Transport Ltd. (the “Transport Companies”).  On November 29. 2019, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta granted an Initial Order under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (Canada) (the “CCAA”) in respect of the Transport Companies.
