Slips, trips, and falls are a major source of workplace injuries in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut every year. Between 2017 and 2021, over 20% of WSCC claims were caused by slips, trips, and falls. Falls caused by slips and trips often lead to sprains and strains. In the worst cases, these incidents can result in traumatic injuries.
Representatives from the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation group were thankful to participate in the Wekweetì Tourism Workshop delivered by the GNWT’s Industry, Tourism & Investment Department April 17 and 18.
Educational, creative and inspiring discussions were held with community leaders, staff of the Tłı̨chǫ Government & Community Government, as well as community members, who were all very proud, engaged and passionate about discussing tourism opportunities within and around their beautiful community of Wekweetì.
