Tłı̨chǫ Engineering & Environmental Services (TEES) is 100% Indigenous owned by Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation. We are currently accepting applications for the following upcoming Winter Road Project positions to build the ice road to Gamètì and Wekweètì.
Equipment Operator - Ref # 10.01.2023
- Experience operating the fuel truck, water truck, sno-cat, plow truck and/or grader.
- Valid Class 5, Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s license preferred, required for winter road maintenance when the ice road opens.
Cook - Ref # 10.02.2023
- Experience working in a remote camp setting considered an asset.
- Food Safety Certification and WHMIS Certification preferred.
Labourer - Ref # 10.03.2023
- Experience working in a remote camp setting considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner for up to 12 hours daily.
- Follow all rules and regulations associated with building and maintaining an Ice Road.
- Attend daily safety meetings and perform equipment check/walk arounds.
Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Water truck and fuel truck drivers must have a valid Class 3 driver's license.
- All operators must have a minimum of a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Will be required to stay at the work camp(s) for the duration of the assigned work (4-6 weeks).
All positions require individuals with proven ability to work in a cross cultural, diverse environment demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity. All candidates must be open and flexible to perform other duties as required.
