Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB) is looking to fill the following position located in Yellowknife or Behchoko.
Project & Procurement Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Manager (s) with project management and project coordination
- Manage assigned projects
- Receive and review shop drawings and submit for approval
- Re-distribute approved shop drawings
- Prepare contemplated change notices and change orders
- Distribute change notices and change orders
- Prepare RFI’s (request for information) and distribute as required
- Develop material quantities and solicit pricing
- Issue purchase orders, purchase materials as needed and arrange for shipping
- Maintain well organized project files
- Estimating on Excel
- Proposal writing
- Prepare tender documents and submit
- Compile and organize data for operations and maintenance manuals
- Prepare information for invoices (accounts receivable)
Requirements
- Graduate from Architectural Technology or Construction Technology (or alternate applicable experience)
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD to record changes on drawings and prepare and submit as built drawings, or be willing to take AutoCAD training
- Proven dependability/reliability; ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to be a self starter, self motivated worker
- Excellent communication skills, ability to foster good relationships with co-workers, customers and Architects
- Some field experience in carpentry or construction would be a definite asset
- Experience working in a multi-cultural, diverse environment demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity would be beneficial
- Proven safety focus/understanding of safe work practices and safety legislation
