Tłı̨chǫ Community Builders (TCB) is looking to fill the following position located in Yellowknife or Behchoko.

 

Project & Procurement Coordinator

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager (s) with project management and project coordination
  • Manage assigned projects
  • Receive and review shop drawings and submit for approval
  • Re-distribute approved shop drawings
  • Prepare contemplated change notices and change orders
  • Distribute change notices and change orders
  • Prepare RFI’s (request for information) and distribute as required
  • Develop material quantities and solicit pricing
  • Issue purchase orders, purchase materials as needed and arrange for shipping
  • Maintain well organized project files
  • Estimating on Excel
  • Proposal writing
  • Prepare tender documents and submit
  • Compile and organize data for operations and maintenance manuals
  • Prepare information for invoices (accounts receivable)

 

Requirements

  • Graduate from Architectural Technology or Construction Technology (or alternate applicable experience)
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD to record changes on drawings and prepare and submit as built drawings, or be willing to take AutoCAD training
  • Proven dependability/reliability; ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to be a self starter, self motivated worker
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to foster good relationships with co-workers, customers and Architects
  • Some field experience in carpentry or construction would be a definite asset
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, diverse environment demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity would be beneficial
  • Proven safety focus/understanding of safe work practices and safety legislation
